Question by : I have a gold Isle of Man gold coin 1980, can I take it out of original packaging?
I have a beautiful coin case which I keep my gold coins in, however this gold coin is stuck in the original packaging, will the value depreciate much I I take it out? I don't plan to sell my gold, it's my hobby.

Collector’s items are always more valuable in their original packaging. Taking them out always depreciates the value dramatically even if you then put them back in. You have to weigh that against the aesthetic value of displaying your collection.
