Question by Richard Hurste: I have a coin that resembles an 1884 morgan silver dollar, but it is almost 72 mm in diameter. What is it?
It is silver in color, but not heavy enough to be a silver coin. Has anyone seen a coin like this?
Answer by BD in NM
It is a medal of some sort since it is almost twice the size of a real Morgan. I would look on both sides real (maybe the edge also) carefully for very small writing or a hallmark indicating the manufacturer.
