Question by Jimmy J: How much are these coins worth?
I have 3 "1915 Austrian 20 Corona Gold Coins"

Each coin has .196 ounce of fine gold which is .196 x $ 840 = $ 164.64

So all three rogther cost $ 493.92 in fine gold

But how mach can I actually get for them? They're in decent shape...

Same as this ebay ad: http://cgi.ebay.com/1915-AUSTRIA-HUNGARY-GOLD-COIN-20-KORONA-CORONA-KM-486_W0QQitemZ120253575780QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

Placing value on coins depends on what some collector who wants them is willing to pay. It's reasonable to consider the wieght on the gold, but the condition of the coins and the fact that they are coins probably adds to that value. There are official societies- numismatic societies- which establish coin value. If you don't polish them, that can actually leave them to be considered more valuable to many collectors.

You are right in that they are worth just the gold in them. They are not rare coins in fact the 1915 dated coins are restrikes of that series for now were made in 1915. You will however not get the spot prices of gold but a percentage less. This is the profit a dealer makes. You need to get in touch with a couple of coin dealers and see what they pay.
